A Sunday update

October 12, 2009

We had a big day yesterday.  Up early to go downtown to talk to lighting people at Urban Lighting.  Had breakfast at the Hard Rock cafe and had a Posh Spice (and her rug rats, nanny and body guard) sighting but sadly NOT her husband (that is sad for me, not Vince).  Apparently they were here for a trip to Sea World (or so Twitter tells me).  After our fine meal we spent 3 hours discussing pendants, dining fixtures, and a little outdoor lighting.  Didn’t even make a dent in bathrooms.  Next time…

After that we went to pick up some walnut flooring samples and did a little more compare and contrast with countertop materials.  So many choices.

Went by to water plants and took some pictures.  I also thought it might be fun to try to compare some of Manish’s renderings with what is actually going on based on some of my existing photos.  Take a look.

Added Vince into the picture for scale.  Helps to see how nice and high the living room ceilings are.

This one shows the new window up high on the right to let some light into the space.

A picture of the back from a different angle.  Our dying fruit trees make taking a picture from this angle difficult.

Loved the comparison pictures. It looks like they really are following Kevin’s design. You will have a beautiful, modern home when all is said and done.
